for a woman (or man) whose scent-taste you think you know pretty well, i'd take a wander into l'occitane - such a pleasant experience and plenty of delicious scents - lavender, neroli, nuit de mai to name a few...and in the spirit of all the talking we've done about nail polish colors, you could go for a mani gift certificate - always well-received. if i were giving that as a gift, i might include a magazine or a book that would be relaxing and a special treat for my recipient - and add a note that stresses that she take some time for herself to relax and be pampered. sometimes it's that extra little touch that completes a gift to me.
or how about the produkt milk frother as a fabulously cheap addition to a coffee-themed gift or as it's own stocking stuffer? i love the idea of the frother, a french press and a couple of great looking mugs. check out these which are sturdy and reusable, but very easy to take to go.
if you're looking to send a tasty gift basket, check out koshergiftbox - i've become a big fan. also, i think the "something naughty, something nice" set from gourmetgiftbaskets is totally adorable.
you can easily find accessories at all different price ranges as big gifts, token gifts or stocking stuffers. some ideas are hair accessories like these or handmade and totally unique tote bags made from "upcycled" sailboat sails - love love love these. you could also go for pretty travel or tote bags, like these, these or the classic but always evolving vera bradleys. and you simply can not go wrong with one or a collection of a pretty pashminas.
