i have to share the photography of liliya gorlanova with you...doesn't her work capture the essence of an emotional moment? i love the way her pictures are a throwback to a slightly older style of photography - they're not ironic or cutesy or vintagey like so many we see all over the blogs. instead, they're honest, earnest and incredibly poignant.
i especially love the ones of the kids...so raw and revealing.
take a look through liliya's site this morning, and this lovely wedding she shot...i know her work will put a smile on your face and start your weekend off sweetly.
if i were allowed only one passion in life, it would be details. to me, no detail is too small to observe, improve or enjoy. the beauty of details isn't about perfection as much as it's about learning what you like and using it to create pleasure for yourself and the people in your life. most of life is not in our control, so i firmly believe in making the things that are the best they can be.
