today is rosh hashana, the start of the jewish new year. one of our traditions is to dip apples in honey to welcome in a sweet new year.
strangely, or maybe not so strangely, i also have two tabletop items floating around my head...an apple honey pot by michael aram and a set of apple appetizer plates from john derian's collection for target.

i'm excited for when it's my turn to host the jewish holidays and i have items like these - i'd pull them out only at this time every year, so they'd stay special and emblematic of a sweet new year.
do you have any special holiday items that you look forward to using each year?

warm wishes for a wonderful holiday! blog love from the south! xoxo
First off, I HAVE to get the Michael Aram apple. My formal flatware are his twigs and that would go perfectly! Do you have one? Second, just got the new Velvet Voyer mani/pedi and thought I should give it a review for you.....LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! Perfect shade of the deepest purple you can get without being black. Hope all is well!
