springing into action

one of the things that makes me happiest about the coming of spring is all the green everywhere we look. we're not quite there yet, but it's indisputable that it's coming and i couldn't be happier.

as i decide what to do as far as my own little green places go, this picture caught my eye on apartment therapy's re-nest. it's an image from a piece on sunset about how to plant a lush vertical garden. while the instructions definitely seem like more than i'm willing or able to do, i love the idea of using your outdoor space judiciously and to its maximum potential.

i also love the tabletop garden shown here, with equally daunting instructions. those walls covered in green do look killer, though.
